Our History

It was founded in 1973, when a group of parents with a common vision came together to form the Association of Parents of Mentally Retarded People. The common goal of the parents was to create a Home for their children when they themselves would no longer be able to support them. Their vision was to ensure quality living for their children in a warm environment similar to that of a family. The creation of a HOME where people with intellectual disabilities could live as equal and active members of society, receiving appropriate support for their development and empowerment.
